The book was originally a fantasy. I dreamed of making a film and was going to write a screenplay. Soon though i’ve realized that i want to deal with ideas that surpass possibility of filming language. I wanted to talk our need to matter in the universe on a cosmic scale and film would force itself into a story thus diluting the main message. One day, the book might be translated to the proverbial big screen but until then here is your possibility to imagine via text.

The books is structured around a simple story. In the future, when we’ve colonized significant parts of the Solar System and even established an experimental deep-space base around Alpha Centauri, a signal is intercepted that came from a distant planet. People of Earth decided to investigate and mount a deep-s[ace mission to that planet. The journey is to take 180 years one way. Whoever goes on the journey will not be back for 360 years…

92 years into the journey the mission is canceled because advancements in technology let Earth sent remote probes to the planet – there is no need for human journey anymore. The astronauts, who by now have accepted their spiritual death and practical detachment from reality, must decided if they are to keep on going.

Part III deals with the planet and the crew’s search for the Being behind the signal.

Part IV takes place after their return as they confront drastically changed world that doesn’t care about the pioneering mission.
